PORTFOLIO

I am a graduated spacial designer with a specialization in styling, combining my expertise in design with my passion for photography. Having photographed throughout my life, I am particularly drawn to capturing the essence of people, specializing in portrait photography.

My interest is expanding into fine art photography, where I aim to explore more creative and conceptual work. Additionally, I'm excited about photographing events, where my skill in capturing authentic moments shines through. My approach is all about preserving genuine, spontaneous interactions, which aligns perfectly with both portrait and event photography

On the day of the photoshoot, Jeroen faced a big challenge as he was moving the next day. We agreed that I would document his day, capturing the chaos of packing while balancing everyday tasks like personal care and working on his book.

The shoot began early, with Jeroen organizing boxes and packing his belongings. I followed him through his home, aiming to capture the hectic atmosphere of moving—boxes everywhere, the order in the chaos, and the bittersweet process of leaving a longtime home.

Amidst the moving preparations, Jeroen maintained his routine, taking moments for personal care, which I photographed to reflect his emotions during this significant day.

In the afternoon, he focused on writing, surrounded by boxes awaiting transport. These images show his dedication to his craft, highlighting the tension between creativity and the practicalities of moving.

It was a dynamic and emotional day, and the photo series captures both the events and the personal aspects of Jeroen’s life during this transition.

Flashback Magazine

In class, we competed against each other to design the cover of our own self-made magazine. I won the competition and named the magazine Flashback. Each of us was assigned a different era to base our magazine on, and I was given the 90s. Inspired by this, I dove deep into the hip-hop culture of that time, capturing the bold and rebellious spirit that defined the decade. From the fashion to the music, I infused Flashback with the essence of 90s hip-hop, creating a cover that stood out for its energy and authenticity.

NUKEM
MEET THE ARTIST

No Man’s Land is inspired by classic horror slasher films and old-school hip-hop, where I’ve used multiple samples. The melody is composed of a combination of various themes and sounds from Friday the 13th, while the vocals are sourced from 90s rap tracks. My goal is to bring back that old sound, but with a modern twist, wrapped in a spooky vibe.

Cyborg

- May 2023

For this project, we collaborated with the company Ortessa, where we were tasked with transforming waste materials into a showpiece. I chose to work with steel, aiming to create a design that had a cyborg-inspired effect. The fusion of raw, industrial materials with futuristic elements allowed me to bring this concept to life. The result was a striking piece that combined the strength and roughness of steel with sleek, mechanical aesthetics, embodying the essence of recycling in a modern, creative context. This project challenged me to see potential in discarded materials and push the boundaries of what waste can become.
